Meet Jake
Jake has been working on homes for more than 15 years, starting when his parents began flipping houses while he was in eighth grade. That early exposure turned into a broad, practical understanding of repairs, maintenance, installations, and home improvement — the kinds of things that tend to pile up on a homeowner's Honey-Do List.
After nine years in the grain industry, Jake decided to combine his passion for helping people with his love of home improvement projects and founded HomeGrown Handyman LLC in 2026 to help Omaha-area homeowners finally take care of that list.

Why he started HomeGrown Handyman LLC
After 15+ years around homes — helping his parents flip houses, then working on his own projects and other people's — Jake kept noticing the same pattern: capable homeowners with a running list of small repairs and installations that never quite made it to the top of the priority stack. Painting a bedroom, patching drywall, mounting a TV, hanging shelves, assembling a trampoline, fixing a fence gate. Individually small, collectively a lot.
HomeGrown Handyman LLC exists to be the person homeowners can hand that list to.
His approach to serving homeowners
Every visit starts with listening. Jake reviews the project or list with you, confirms what fits a handyman scope, and lays out a straightforward plan before any work begins. If something changes as we go, you'll hear about it right away — not at the end. He's happy to take on the miscellaneous repairs, maintenance items, installations, and improvement projects that most homeowners just don't have the time, tools, or experience to knock out on their own.
Standards for workmanship
- Right materials, right hardware. Anchors, fasteners, and finishes rated for the job.
- Careful prep. Drop cloths, dust control, and floors protected.
- Neat finish. Level shelves, straight caulk lines, tight trim joints.
- Real walkthroughs. Nothing is done until you've seen it.
Faith and values
Faith shapes how Jake runs the business — honest pricing, following through on commitments, and treating people well. Those values are lived out in the work itself, reflected in the tagline Built on Faith. Rooted in Quality.
What to expect when you work with Jake
- A real reply. A useful response to your quote request, not a generic bounce.
- A clear plan. You'll know what's happening before we start.
- Careful work. Your home treated with respect throughout the visit.
- A clean finish. Space cleaned up and the project walked with you.
Project availability depends on the scope of work, property conditions, and whether the project requires a separately licensed trade professional.
